Paper Format Guidelines

The article should be relevant and original. It should consider the methodological and practice-oriented results of the author's research. Conclusions should be made within one of the thematic sections of the conference.

The contributions are to be submitted via conf.tusur.ru. File with the text of the article in doc(x) format should be attached to the application. File name: surname and initials of the first author (ex. Ivanov I.I.doc). If the text of the article is finalized, the new application should not be filled in; the modified article should be attached after the deletion of the previous version.

Paper Format Guidelines

  1. Publication Ethics
    For the Conference Proceedings only the original paper that has not been published in or submitted for consideration to other publications are accepted. The originality of the text should be more than 70%. The authors are solely responsible for the accuracy of the content of the submitted materials, for the compliance with ethical and legal regulations as well as for the consequences of their publication.
  2. Authors
    Conference papers accepted for publication can have up to four authors. One author can be a co-author of unlimited papers accepted for publication. One and the same paper can be accepted to only one conference section (subsection). Undergraduate and postgraduate students’ papers are accepted only in co-authorship with scientific and pedagogical instructors.
  3. Language
    English/Russianlanguage.
  4. Paper Volume
    4-8 pages, including abstract, key words, references, and etc. 
  5. Content
    Topicality, problem statement, aim of the research work, description and argumentation for the research methods chosen, research results and authors recommendations on their practical use.
  6. Structure (usepaper template)
    UDC on the subject of the article, authors’ initials and surname, title of the article, abstract (not summary), key words, body of the paper, reference list entitled as References, information about the authors.Then in English: authors’ initials and surname, title of the article, abstract, key words. Information about the authors includes: last name, first name and patronymic, academic degree, academic title, position, organization, phone number, e-mail.
  7. Paper Style
    Academic. Conversational style or professional jargons are not accepted.
  8. Paper Formatting (usepaper template)
    The text must be arranged in two columns, without hard return, with a single line spacing in Times New Roman (font size 10 pt), on one side of the A4 format. For convenience, authors may use the paper template via https://tusur.ru/urls/zhz45zpa. The volume of a properly formatted paper must be no larger than eight pages.

    The same symbols in the text, formulas, tables and figures should be uniform in spelling. Russian and Greek symbols are typed in a straight font, and Latin symbols are typed in italics, except for words, their abbreviations, names of functions, programs, companies and chemical formulas.

    Formulas should be typed in Equation or Math Type editor (MS Word). Russian and Greek symbols, mathematical signs (+, -, *, =, brackets, …) and numbers should always be typed in regular upright type, and Latin symbols denoting variables should be in italic type, except for those included in regular words and their abbreviations, names of functions, software, companies and chemical formulas (const, input; sin  x(t1); Uin; Iвх;Тz; H2O, Adobe Acrobat, Сisco, etc.); vector values should be in bold upright type (not italic) – А1, М(f). Formula templates can be found in the paper template.

    All designations and abbreviations must be explained when first used in the text.

    The units of measurement of physical quantities must correspond to the International System of Units (SI) and be written in Russian separated by a space (х, ГГц; 20 ГГц; Т, град; 7 °С). Decimal numbers must be written with a comma (not a dot).

    All tables and figures must have appropriate headings (not full-text references copied from the body of the paper). (Fig. 1. Figure title; Table 1. Table title). Large legends should be preferably included in the text. All headings and titles should be in Times New Roman (font size 9 pt), regular type, no italics, variables should be the same as in the text. All figures and tables should be referenced to in the text (… in Fig. 3, … in Table 2).

    All figures and photographs should be in grayscale, sharp, hard, clean, grouped. Lines in charts and graphs should not be bold, grid lines should be clear. Units of measurement should be in Russian. Decimals should use commas (not dots). Figures should be executed in CorelDraw, Illustrator, Word, Visio and be editable.

    Illustrations should have not less than 300 dpi and no more than 600 dpi. Making image scale follow the main requirement: the illustration should be provided in the way that it allows legibility of any text written in Times New Roman, not smaller than 8-9 pt.

    All sources in the list of references should be referenced in the text (numbered in the textual order, e.g., [1, 2], [5–7]). All sources should be represented in accordance with and GOST R 7.0.5-2008 and include all information necessary to identify the source. For non-periodical editions: last name and initials of the author, full title of the work, place of publication, name of publisher, year of publication, number of pages. For periodicals: last name and initials of the author, full title of the work, title of the journal, year of publication, volume, issue, page number (s).

    The list of references is required with the least of 5 recent Russian and international sources with authors references. It is recommended that the number of author's works referenced does not exceed 20% of the total number of sources.
  9. Not permitted:
  • pagination
  • page break in the text
  • paginal references
  • sparse or compacted letter spacing

 

Paper Reviewing

All papers for NMK TUSUR-2023 are reviewed by the experts (specialists recognized by TUSUR university in the related field) and finally approved by the Editorial Board. After accepting, papers are checked to comply with the subject and formal requirements. In case of non-compliance with the subject or formal requirements, the article is not accepted for consideration, the author is notified about it.

If the article meets the subject and formal requirements, then it is sent to the reviewer (modera-tor of the section). The reviewer decides on the possibility of publishing the article in the pro-ceedings and presenting the report at NMK TUSUR-2023. Based on the results of the review, one of three decisions can be made:

  1. The paper is approved for publishing and presentation at the conference.
  2. The paper is approved for publishing and the author is invited as a presenter upon condition to make necessary corrections in accordance with the expert recommendations.
  3. The paper is not accepted for publishing and presenting at the conference.

Experts do not discuss with the authors the reasons for paper rejections.
